Overview of It Takes Two
It Takes Two is a co-operative side-scrolling action-adventure video game by indie game development studio Hazelight Studios & published by Electronic Arts. It Takes Two was published in 2021, telling the theatrical story of Cody and May, married couple embarking on the divorce. Upon saying the magic word, or touching a magical object, they are shrunk down to size and become dolls encased in glass and must progress through a series of obstacles, physical and figurative. The main characters travel with Dr. Hakim who is a talking book of love who is on yet another mission to reconcile the two.
The game play of the Move is developed for only two players and they are forced to work together to solve puzzles, vanquish enemies, and remove levels. Every level adds new mechanics which also datasource the relationship of the couple and their individual issues. If you are a fan of platformers where characters have different skills which everybody must use to advance through a level – this game is for you: toolbox is full of dangers, but half of the game is dedicated to flying weird vehicle.
