Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a highly lauded intense action-adventure title that is the brainchild of FromSoftware and Activision. Taking place in Japan of the late 1500’s, the game’s environment and aesthetic provides players with a vision of Japanese history and mythos for a world in which they must survive. You play as Wolf, a shinobi who lost his clan, his friends, his family, his homeland, his freedom and mission is to rescue the lord from kidnappers and kill those who harmed him. It is set in the post-apocalyptic environment and offers a great story as well as a unique gameplay where high pace action is followed by very graphic and demanding combat sequences.
About the gameplay in Sekiro, much is based on a completely different model, a system of posture and deflection that predetermines the protraction and counterattack rather than aggression. Players need to learn to wield the katana & use different sorts of artificial limbs to fight enemies & navigate through the game’s stunning districts. Boss fights are one of the main features, each of which is a serious battle and a serious test of the reaction. It is expected since part of the gameplay is in the combat that is a core aspect of gameplay and yet players themselves have a tool to restore themselves that makes the combat turn based.
